Struggle against time

I'm running out of time in this confusing place
I need somewhere to hide, a place where I feel safe
And I know every day someone asks the same questions I do now
and I have to believe that I'll find what I'm looking for

But I'm lonely and confused, wish I knew which road to take
I am careful, it's my life at stake
Always waiting for the time when I'll lose my patience

Every day is a piece in the puzzle of life
every colour and shape, that's how I'll keep my faith
always looking for this thing I don't know what is
will I find this which is mine, in my struggle against time

I'm running out of luck, it's tempting to play safe
And every choice that I make comes with consequences I will never have to take
but I'm scared and confused, wish I knew which way to walk
wish I knew when to stay calm, when to talk
always wondering, when will I lose my patience
